Equiti Achieves SOC 2 Type II Attestation and Completes HIPAA/HITECH Examination for the Martti Platform

Independent examinations, performed by A-LIGN, reinforce Equiti's security and compliance program for protected health information.

Equiti Health, LLC ("Equiti"), provider of the Martti medical interpretation platform, today announced it has successfully completed a System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II examination and a HIPAA/HITECH attestation examination for the Martti Platform System. Both examinations were performed by A-LIGN ASSURANCE, an independent, licensed CPA firm.

The SOC 2 Type II examination evaluated the design and operating effectiveness of Equiti's controls relevant to the Security Trust Services Category, as defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), over the review period of November 1, 2025 through April 30, 2026. The HIPAA/HITECH examination evaluated the design of Equiti's health information security program, as of April 30, 2026, against essential elements of the HIPAA Security Rule and the HITECH Act.

"Earning these two independent attestations reflects the discipline our team brings to protecting sensitive healthcare data every day. It shows our continued commitment to the healthcare organizations and patients who rely on Martti," said Samantha Leanillo, Chief Information Security & Privacy Officer, Equiti.

"Trust is the foundation of everything we build at Equiti,” said Maureen Huber, Chief Executive Officer at  Equiti. “These attestations, alongside our existing HITRUST e1 certification, give our healthcare partners independently verified assurance that Martti was built and is operated with security and compliance at its core."

For healthcare IT, security, and compliance leaders, these attestations provide independently verified evidence to support vendor risk assessments and procurement reviews. Together with Martti's HITRUST e1 certification announced earlier this year, they reflect a layered, ongoing approach to security and compliance rather than a single point-in-time claim.
